Description
An out-of-bounds write issue exists in the
bnxt re copy err stats() function within the RDMA/bnxt re module of the Linux kernel. This flaw stems from an incorrect boundary marker when allocating hardware statistics on chip gen p5 p7 devices, leading to a write beyond allocated memory. The issue was introduced by commit ef56081d1864, which added new counters after BNXT RE OUT OF SEQ ERR. The counters BNXT RE REQ CQE ERROR, BNXT RE RESP CQE ERROR, and BNXT RE RESP REMOTE ACCESS ERRS are involved in this issue.Recommendations
