Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description An issue exists in the netfilter nf tables component where set->nelems is unconditionally incremented before insertion. If the set is full, a new element is published and subsequently removed without waiting for the Read-Copy-Update (RCU) grace period—a mechanism that ensures all readers have finished accessing a piece of data before it is deleted—while an RCU reader may already be traversing it.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
