Description A buffer overflow occurs when a program writes more data to a memory buffer than it can hold, potentially overwriting adjacent memory. This issue allows local attackers to crash the application by supplying an oversized string. Specifically, pasting a 6000-byte payload into the registration name field triggers a denial of service condition.
