Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A flaw exists in the Linux kernel’s drm/amdgpu/userq subsystem. Userspace applications can trigger kernel warnings, either intentionally by providing an insufficient number of fences or legitimately due to an increase in the required number of fences between calls to the userq wait ioctl. The issue stems from
WARN ON statements within the kernel code. The fix involves removing these WARN ON statements to prevent the emission of unnecessary kernel warnings when userspace receives an error.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
