Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
The Linux kernel contains a flaw within the radiotap parser. Specifically, the parser does not properly handle radiotap data containing undefined fields, leading to the potential for an uninitialized variable comparison. This occurs when field 18 is used, and the alignment/size is unknown. The issue arises because iterator-> next ns data is not initialized in certain scenarios, resulting in a comparison against an uninitialized value.
Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
