Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A flaw exists in the Linux kernel’s drm/msm subsystem, specifically within the adreno driver. On platforms utilizing an a7xx GPU lacking IFPC support, a kernel crash can occur due to dereferencing an undeclared
ifpc reglist within the a7xx patch pwrup reglist() function. This dereference leads to a NULL pointer dereference, resulting in a kernel panic. The issue is addressed by validating the ifpc reglist before attempting to access its contents during register setup.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
