Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
The Linux kernel contains a flaw in the md/raid5 component where null-pointer dereferences can occur in the
raid5 store group thread cnt() function. This happens when the mddev->private variable is NULL, leading to potential issues when calling raid5 quiesce(). Specifically, the conf->quiesce assignment and wake up(&conf->wait for quiescent) calls can cause dereferences of a null pointer.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
