dde-control-center versions prior to 5.9.9
Description
The
plugin-deepinid plugin within the dde-control-center, which manages the deepinid cloud service, fails to verify TLS certificates when retrieving user avatars from the openapi.deepin.com endpoint or other providers. This allows a Man-in-the-Middle (MITM) attacker—an actor who intercepts communication between two parties—to capture traffic and replace the avatar with a misleading or malicious image, which could also be used to identify the user.Recommendations
Update dde-control-center to version 6.1.80.
Update dde-control-center to version 5.9.9.
