FortiManager Cloud versions 7.6.2 through 7.6.4
Description
A heap-based buffer overflow allows a remote unauthenticated attacker to execute arbitrary code or commands by sending specifically crafted requests. A heap-based buffer overflow occurs when a program writes more data to a heap-allocated memory block than it can hold, potentially overwriting adjacent memory. Successful exploitation requires significant preparation due to Address Space Layout Randomization (ASLR), a security technique that randomly arranges the address space positions of key data areas, and network segmentation.
