CVSS v3.1

8.1

High

VectorAV:N/AC:H/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Fortinet FortiAnalyzer Cloud versions 7.6.2 through 7.6.4 FortiManager Cloud versions 7.6.2 through 7.6.4
Description A heap-based buffer overflow allows a remote unauthenticated attacker to execute arbitrary code or commands by sending specifically crafted requests. A heap-based buffer overflow occurs when a program writes more data to a heap-allocated memory block than it can hold, potentially overwriting adjacent memory. Successful exploitation requires significant preparation due to Address Space Layout Randomization (ASLR), a security technique that randomly arranges the address space positions of key data areas, and network segmentation.
Recommendations Update FortiAnalyzer Cloud versions 7.6.2 through 7.6.4 to a version containing the fix. Update FortiManager Cloud versions 7.6.2 through 7.6.4 to a version containing the fix.
