Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
mcp-framework versions prior to 0.2.22
Description
The
readRequestBody() function in the HTTP transport concatenates request body chunks into a string without enforcing a size limit. Although a maxMessageSize configuration value exists, it is not applied within the readRequestBody() function. A remote unauthenticated attacker can cause memory exhaustion and a denial of service, crashing the server by sending a single large POST request to the '/mcp' endpoint.Recommendations
Update to version 0.2.22.
Fix
Allocation of Resources Without Limits
