Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
An issue exists in the XFS file system where the unmount sequence in the
xfs unmount flush inodes() function pushes the Active Item List (AIL) while background reclaim and inode garbage collection (inodegc) are still active. This can lead to a race condition where inodegc dirties and inserts inodes into the AIL during the flush, or background reclaim attempts to abort and free dirty inodes.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
