Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A memory leak occurs in DAMON SYSFS during allocation failure. Specifically, when the function
damon sysfs new test ctx() fails within damon sysfs commit input(), the param ctx variable is leaked because the early return bypasses the cleanup process. Additionally, a privileged user can trigger a NULL pointer dereference by executing incorrect control sequences.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
