CVE-2026-31479

CVSS v3.1

7.8

High

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description An issue exists in the drm/xe component where the system fails to maintain proper tracking of remap prev/next during 3D workloads. This occurs when a rebind is performed in the middle of a virtual memory area (VMA) and mapped ends are compatible, leading to the skipping of rebinds and the setting of next/prev to NULL. If an unwind path is triggered, it can result in overlapping VMAs, causing the system to enter a bad state and triggering warnings in the vm bind ioctl ops unwind() function.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
