Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
csync2 versions prior to 2.0+git.1600444747.83b3644-3.1
Description
When compiled with C99 or later, the software uses insecure temporary directories. This allows for Time-of-Check to Time-of-Use (TOCTOU) attacks, a race condition where a system checks a condition (such as the existence of a file) and then uses the result of that check, but the condition changes between the check and the use.
Recommendations
Update to version 2.0+git.1600444747.83b3644-3.1.
