Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A flaw in the clockevents prevention mechanism against timer interrupt starvation occurs because the
next event forced flag is not reset in certain scenarios. This failure happens when the clock event state changes, when a non-forced event is armed, or within the suspend wakeup handler. These conditions can lead to stale flags during shutdown/startup sequences or missed timer interrupts if an event is scheduled far in the future, resulting in system stalls.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
