Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A use-after-free issue exists in the Linux kernel within the
folio unmap invalidate() function. The problem occurs when filemap free folio() is called without a reference to or a lock on the mapping. Because the folio may have already been removed from the mapping, the mapping can be removed, leading to a use-after-free when the system attempts to access mapping->a ops.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
