CVE-2026-31658

CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A memory leak exists in the Altera TSE driver. When the dma map single() function fails within the tse start xmit() function, the system returns NETDEV TX OK without freeing the socket buffer (skb). Because NETDEV TX OK indicates to the network stack that the packet was consumed, the skb is not released, leading to memory exhaustion on every DMA mapping failure.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
