CVSS v3.1

7.8

High

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A use-after-free error exists in the usbtmc release function. This occurs because pending anchored URBs (USB Request Blocks) are not properly flushed or killed, which can lead to memory corruption in the HCD (Host Controller Driver) giveback path.
Recommendations Call the usbtmc draw down() function to ensure anchored URBs are completed. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
