Description An issue exists in the xilinx axienet driver regarding Byte Queue Limits (BQL) accounting for transmit (TX) packets that span multiple buffer descriptors (BD) using scatter-gather. The axienet free tx chain() function sums the actual length from descriptor status into an accumulator that resets on each NAPI poll. If BDs for a single packet complete across different polls, bytes from earlier polls are lost and not credited to BQL. This leads BQL to incorrectly assume bytes are permanently in-flight, which eventually stalls the TX queue.

Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
