Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
An issue exists in the Distributed Lock Manager (DLM) where the
len parameter in the dlm dump rsb name() function is not validated. Because this parameter is derived from network messages, providing a value that exceeds DLM RESNAME MAXLEN can lead to an out-of-bounds write within the dlm search rsb tree() function, potentially resulting in a buffer overflow.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
