Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
The
pegasus probe() function fills USB Request Blocks (URBs) with hardcoded endpoint pipes without verifying the endpoint descriptors. Specifically, it uses usb rcvbulkpipe(dev, 1) for RX data, usb sndbulkpipe(dev, 2) for TX data, and usb rcvintpipe(dev, 3) for status interrupts. A malformed USB device can present these endpoints with transfer types that differ from the driver's assumptions, potentially triggering an assertion.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
