Description An issue exists in the wave5 media driver where an incorrect device cleanup order can lead to a kernel panic during encoding operations. In polling mode, the wave5 vpu timer callback() function periodically queues work to a kthread worker, which then executes wave5 vpu irq work fn() to read hardware registers via wave5 vdi read register(). Because the system disabled Power Management (PM) runtime and powered down hardware before unregistering video devices, the worker thread could still be triggered by the hrtimer after the hardware was powered off. This results in a bus error known as a synchronous external abort, causing the system to crash.
