Description A dereference of an uninitialized pointer occurs in the ring-buffer component. Specifically, the head page pointer in the rb meta validate events() function is not initialized at the start of the function. If a failure occurs during reader page validation, control is passed to the "invalid" label, where the uninitialized pointer is dereferenced within a loop.

Recommendations Initialize orig head and head page before calling the rb validate buffer function.
