Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
An issue exists in the Linux kernel where the GEM object's reservation lock was not held during calls to the object's purge operation. The use of the
drm gem shmem purge locked() function in tests led to system warnings. To resolve this, the reservation lock must be acquired and released around the purge operation, and the new helper function drm gem shmem purge() is exported specifically for Kunit tests.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
