Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
An issue exists in the
adxl380 accelerometer driver where the interrupt handler reads FIFO entries in batches of N samples, based on the number of enabled scan elements. Because the sensor fills the FIFO one sample at a time regardless of the number of enabled channels, the total entries reported by the FIFO status registers may not be a multiple of N. This can lead to the system attempting to read more entries from the FIFO than are actually present.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
