Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description An issue exists in the net: ipa component where the event ring index was not correctly programmed for IPA v5.0+. The event ring index field moved from 'CH C CNTXT 0' to 'CH C CNTXT 1', but the register definition used the incorrect identifier ERINDEX instead of CH ERINDEX. This prevents GSI channels from signaling transfer completions, causing the gsi channel trans quiesce() function to block indefinitely in wait for completion(). In IPA v5.2, this results in the IPA data path becoming non-functional and causes runtime suspend, system suspend, and remoteproc stop to hang forever.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
