CVE-2026-43358

CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A missing RCU (Read-Copy-Update) unlock in the error path of the try release subpage extent buffer() function within the btrfs module can occur. This happens because a rcu read unlock() call exists past the loop, but rcu read lock() is not called before exiting the loop in certain error conditions. RCU is a synchronization mechanism that allows multiple readers to access data simultaneously without locking.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
