Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
An issue exists in the drm/i915 component where the
length attribute of a scatterlist may overflow when a scatterlists table of a GEM shmem object of 4 GB or more is populated with pages allocated from a folio. This occurs if the total byte length of pages allocated to a single scatterlist reaches or exceeds the 4 GB limit, potentially causing users of the object to encounter an unexpected and premature end of the object's backing pages. The issue is related to the remap sg() function.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
