Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A NULL pointer dereference occurs during GPU device cleanup when initialization fails due to an unsupported hardware block. In this scenario, IP blocks may have a NULL version pointer. The functions
amdgpu device set pg state() and amdgpu device set cg state() iterate over all IP blocks and access adev->ip blocks[i].version without performing NULL checks, which leads to a kernel crash.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
