No severity ratings or metrics are available. When they are, we'll update the corresponding info on the page.
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A memory leak exists in the
ceph mdsc build path() function. The issue occurs because putname() calls were missing in error code paths that failed to free the path pointer obtained by getname(). When ownership of this pointer is not transferred to the caller via path info.path, the function must free it before returning to prevent memory exhaustion.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
