CVE-2026-0264

CVSS v3.1

9.8

Critical

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions PAN-OS (affected versions not specified)
Description A buffer overflow occurs in the DNS proxy and DNS Server features. An unauthenticated attacker with network access can exploit this by sending specially crafted network traffic. This can lead to a denial of service (DoS) condition across all PAN-OS platforms, except Cloud NGFW and Prisma Access, or potentially allow arbitrary code execution on PA-Series hardware. A buffer overflow is a condition where a program writes more data to a memory buffer than it can hold, potentially overwriting adjacent memory.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
