Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions MongoDB C Driver (affected versions not specified)
Description The legacy GridFS API accepts malformed file metadata from the database without adequate validation. This can lead to applications reading these files experiencing a crash due to a division-by-zero error or a silent leak of process memory contents caused by an out-of-bounds read, which occurs when the software reads data outside the intended boundary of a buffer.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
