Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Broadstreet plugin for WordPress versions prior to 1.52.3
Description
The plugin contains an Insecure Direct Object Reference (IDOR) issue, which occurs when an application provides direct access to objects based on user-supplied input. This flaw exists in the 'get sponsored meta' AJAX action due to a lack of validation on a user-controlled key. Authenticated attackers with Subscriber-level access or higher can exploit this to disclose private post metadata.
Recommendations
Update the plugin to a version later than 1.52.2.
As a temporary workaround, restrict access to the 'get sponsored meta' AJAX action to minimize the risk of exploitation.
Fix
IDOR
