VectorAV:N/AC:H/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:H/VI:H/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Open ISES Tickets versions prior to 3.44.2
Description The software contains hardcoded MySQL database credentials within the loader.php file, which serves as a public-facing database utility. These credentials, including the username, password, and database name, are committed to the source repository. An unauthenticated attacker with read access to the file on a deployed installation or access to the public source tree can retrieve these credentials to establish a connection to the database, provided the database is reachable from their network.
Recommendations Update to version 3.44.2 or later. As a temporary mitigation, restrict read access to the loader.php file or remove it from public-facing directories.
