Description The reserve unaccepted() function incorrectly calculates the size of the memblock reservation for the unaccepted memory table. It aligns the table size but fails to account for instances where the starting physical address efi.unaccepted is not page-aligned. If the table starts at an offset within a page and ends in a subsequent page not covered by the aligned size, the end of the table remains unreserved. This can result in the table being overwritten or becoming inaccessible, leading to a kernel panic in the accept memory() function. This issue was observed during the startup of Intel TDX VMs with specific memory sizes, such as those exceeding 64GB.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
