Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
An issue exists in the iommu/vt-d component where the address of a freshly allocated zero-initialized PASID table is written to a PASID directory entry before the CPU cache flush occurs. This creates a time window where non-coherent IOMMU hardware may use the PASID table while its contents in RAM still contain random old data instead of being zero-initialized.
Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
