Description A slab-out-of-bounds read exists in the do action() function during the 'DeleteIndexEntryRoot' case. The issue occurs because the entry size esize is retrieved from the log record without sufficient bounds checking. When calculating the end of the entry e2 using Add2Ptr(e1, esize), a maliciously large esize can cause e2 to exceed the buffer size. This results in a negative offset during the PtrOffset(e2, ...) calculation which, when cast to size t for memmove(), is interpreted as a very large unsigned integer, leading to a heap buffer overflow.

Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
