CVE-2026-46053

CVSS v3.1

7.8

High

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description An issue exists in the Reliable Datagram Sockets (RDS) implementation of the Linux kernel. In the rds rdma map() function, memory region (MR) ownership of scatter-gather lists and pages is transferred to the transport after get mr() succeeds. If a failure occurs when copying the generated cookie back to user space via put user(), the error path incorrectly attempts to free these resources again before dropping the MR reference, leading to a duplicate cleanup process.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
