Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Tychon (affected versions not specified)
Description
Tychon includes an OpenSSL component that uses the
OPENSSLDIR variable to specify a subdirectory. On Windows, this subdirectory may be controllable by an unprivileged user. Because Tychon runs a privileged service that utilizes this component, an attacker who can place a specially-crafted openssl.cnf file in the appropriate path can achieve arbitrary code execution with SYSTEM privileges.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
