VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Joomla! Component vAccount version 2.0.2
Description An SQL injection allows unauthenticated attackers to execute arbitrary SQL queries by injecting malicious code. This is achieved by sending GET requests to the 'vaccount-dashboard/expense' endpoint using crafted SQL payloads in the vid parameter, which can lead to the extraction of sensitive database information such as version and database names.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability. As a temporary workaround, avoid using the vid parameter in the 'vaccount-dashboard/expense' endpoint to minimize the risk of exploitation.
