Description
A buffer overflow allows attackers to corrupt the Structured Exception Handler (SEH) chain—a mechanism used to handle software errors—by importing malicious files. By using a specially designed payload file to overwrite SEH addresses, an attacker can potentially execute arbitrary code and gain control of the application.
