Description
A compromised or malicious server can force a client to write files outside the designated output directory. This occurs when the client uses the bit-preserving C-GET storage mode, allowing the attacker to utilize absolute paths or relative paths (../) to perform a path traversal attack. Path traversal is a technique used to access files and directories that are stored outside the web root folder.
