CVE-2025-71186

CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A device leak exists in the dmaengine subsystem, specifically within the stm32 dmamux component, during route allocation. The issue stems from failing to release a reference to the DMA mux platform device when looking up the device during route allocation. Holding a reference to a device does not prevent its driver data from being removed, making the reference unnecessary.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
