Description A memory leak exists in the idpf vport rel() function within the Linux kernel's idpf module. The issue occurs because the vport->rx ptype lkup memory is not freed during a reset operation, leading to a memory leak. This was reported by kmemleak, which identified an unreferenced object in the process. The function idpf send get rx ptype msg() and idpf init task() are part of the call stack.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
