Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A flaw exists in the Linux kernel’s DRM/GUD subsystem. Specifically, a NULL pointer dereference can occur on display disconnect due to the
drm atomic helper disable all() function setting the framebuffer (fb) and CRTC for a plane to NULL before a commit operation. This results in a kernel oops when a display is disconnected. The issue arises from missing checks for these NULL pointers.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
