Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
An issue exists in the
iptfs consume frags() function within the xfrm: iptfs component. The function transfers paged fragments between socket buffers but fails to propagate the SKBFL SHARED FRAG flag. This flag is essential for identifying fragments backed by read-only page-cache pages, allowing the Encapsulating Security Payload (ESP) to determine if in-place encryption is safe to perform.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
