Network-adjacent attackers can execute arbitrary code with root privileges on affected installations without requiring authentication. The issue occurs during the parsing of JSON requests in the
sonia binary, where a user-supplied string is used as a format specifier without proper validation, leading to a format string vulnerability.Recommendations
