No severity ratings or metrics are available. When they are, we'll update the corresponding info on the page.
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
An issue exists in the Linux kernel related to the dmaengine subsystem, specifically within the Xilinx XDMA driver. The
max register field is incorrectly assigned the size of the register memory region instead of the offset of the last register. This can lead to a segmentation fault when reading from the regmap via debugfs, for example, using the command tail /sys/kernel/debug/regmap/xdma.1.auto/registers. The segmentation fault occurs due to an incorrect memory access during the regmap mmio read32le function call. The call trace indicates a kernel paging request failure.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
