No severity ratings or metrics are available. When they are, we'll update the corresponding info on the page.
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
The Linux kernel contains an issue within the drm/panel-simple subsystem related to the connector type for the DataImage SCF0700C48GGU18 panel. The connector type is missing, causing
devm drm panel bridge add() to fail, resulting in a warning and a backtrace in the kernel log. Specifically, the warning originates from devm drm of get bridge() at drivers/gpu/drm/bridge/panel.c:379. This prevents the panel from functioning correctly. The issue is triggered when devm drm panel bridge add() checks for a valid connector type and finds it missing.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
