CVE-2026-23071

CVSS v3.1

4.7

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:H/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A race condition existed in the hwspin lock timeout irqsave function when handling the shared member &map->spinlock flags within the regmap subsystem. Multiple contexts competing for the lock could overwrite the shared flags variable, potentially corrupting the lock state for the current owner. The issue was addressed by utilizing a local stack variable flags to temporarily store the IRQ state.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
